Pros
1. Really good work life balance 2. Good benefits, especially accounting for actual work done 3. Basically retirement place 4. Good grad programs that allow grads to develop
Cons
1. Really inefficient, 5 sessions of 1 hour each x 11 people meeting when talking about an additional investment of 200k usd a year. 1 person talks the rest listen, 90% of the time it is irrelevant to the whole team. The cost of this whole meeting is probably 50% of the total investment in question. 2. Too much politics, everyone just talks about what they have done and what they are doing, even if there's an obvious better way to do things, it is not being explored as it will mean amount of work being lost and less ways to showcase yourself in the future 3. Too many people, even after 15% cuts in 2020, still WAY too many people. Too many departments with alot of their work having no value add to the firm. Too many things that can be automated and programmed. 4. Young people are not given the chance to shine especially in this current environment when IT is the future. Small ideas are welcomed as it makes the boss looks good, even though that idea may be useless. But nothing major is being done to rock the boat and cut cost. 5. Older folks are often afraid of IT and thus blocking ideas by younger people if its automation. Nobody is there to rock the boat, all the way to level E and F, all trying to keep their jobs and claw money from the firm, not looking out for benefit of the company at all.
