I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2018
Interview
Super responsive, quick, and efficient process! I received an email asking if I was available for a phone interview within about a week or less of applying online. They stated the expectations and pay for the role up front which was very convenient and transparent, unlike many other companies I had interviewed with. The phone interview was pretty standard and painless; just prepare yourself for questions about yourself, your career goals, as well as for any behavioral-oriented interview questions about your past work experience. Keep notes for yourself just in case--it only helps you in the long run and to prepare for any possible questions that may be asked! At the end of the call, I was invited for an onsite interview at the Chicago office for the next week and received a confirmation by email within that same day.
The onsite interview was pretty straightforward as well as informative and lasted for a little over an hour. It involved a tour and two separate one-on-one interviews with managers. The tour with the HR rep was great and gave you a chance to see the environment you may be working in. It is a very large and open-floor style office, but super bright and friendly. Following the tour, each one-on-one was also rather straightforward and lasted around thirty minutes each. These involved a lot of standard interview questions and varied slightly per each manager's personality, but definitely allows for your personality to shine and ask questions! If you are an easy-going, people person this could definitely be a great fit. Bring a notebook with questions ahead of time and write down any as you go, as they are extremely open and thorough with any you may have. After the interview, the HR rep comes back to follow up with information about next steps and any further questions. She told me I should hear by the end of the week or early next week by the latest about a decision, and I received the offer the following Monday! This was very exciting and I really appreciated how efficient Groupon was about the process; it's so common for employers to not give straight forward answers to interviewees for various reasons but Groupon followed through with their goal to notify me within the time frame they stated. Honestly one of the best interview experiences I've had, personally. Just be super prepared with answers to possible behavioral questions related to the role, and know what Groupon is about and the exact position you're applying for.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Groupon (Bengaluru)
Interview
Multiple rounds. Lengthy process!
First round was a GD which was an elimination round. It was followed by a computer based test to check your typing speed, writing skills, etc. The final round was an HR interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
Groupon is a pretty laid back company. The main recruiter that I had the initial phone interview with and one in-office interview with was awesome. It was like talking to a friend. He made the entire recess stress free. The interview process itself consisted of a phone interview, an interview in the office that consisted of three interviews with various Customer Service managers. One of the managers spent a majority of the time asking me questions about my previous work for an airline. They did not relate to the position or Groupon, but made for a very comfortable interview and gave me more insight into the laid-back, fun work atmosphere.
