I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Inkitt
Interview
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
6 separate rounds of interviews spanning 4-6 weeks. Technical questions are straightforward. But if one of the execs don't like you on the supposedly "casual chat with one of the company leadership" on that sixth and final round because you mentioned important obligations outside of work like PICKING UP YOUR KIDS, they won't give you an offer.
They're against you going home and signing back on later. They want you to be physically present in the office late in the evening. Seems like a huge red flag to me -- It's indicative of a culture with some serious micromanagement issues.
Read the recent glassdoor reviews on this place from Jan 2025. It's pretty clear that my assessment based on that leader conversation is spot on.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Inkitt (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
Interview process was on zoom with two employees who were very nice, but they didn't ask too many follow up questions. I had the feeling they weren't as interested in me, but more interested in talking about if I was a good look for their social media.

Question 1
Do you read romance and are you comfortable talking about the smut aspect about the books?
Found my interviewer to be extremely rude and nonchalant throughout our talk. I've worked with some of the largest brands and senior executives in the world and have not encountered anything like this before. It speaks to how they potentially treat employees (although I hope they treat them well).
