I applied online. I interviewed at Shopify in Feb 2018
Interview
I spent a lot of time prepping for this interview, especially with the chance of being sent straight into the gauntlet section. I didn't make it that far as they were looking for 'more diverse individuals' for their team. I think if I had talked up the company and product as if it was the best thing since sliced bread I would have had a better chance. My Life story interviewer was very pleasant though and I thought we had got on well. She did say to try again later which makes it feel like you just have to pick an interview day that has worse people than you .
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Galway) in Mar 2018
Interview
Friendly staff running the interview process, great feedback throughout. Process was reasonably quick with very little time in between sections. Communication was excellent throughout and there were loads of opportunities provided to ask questions.

Question 1
What was your first Job? (Where you go from there is quite led by you)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2018
Interview
3 phases: - build a test store on the Shopify platform using their free trial
- life story interview with person from the talent acquisition team; very informal chat, they're just trying to get a feel for your personality since the emphasis is on hiring 'real people'.
- the gauntlet: a series of questions and challenges with a trainer pretending to be a merchant to see if you can handle multitasking and working quickly.
