Interview
Approximately a week after applying a Charter recruiter emailed me to schedule a phone screen. The call was merely to see whether I wanted to come in for a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager. A week later I sat down with the hiring manager for a 45-minute interview that was incredibly generic and offered a broad overview of the what the role entailed. The interview was an extension of the sales floor we walked through -- emotionless, dull, and clinical. Internet carriers and telecom companies struggle to develop collaborative, creative environments and, unfortunately, Charter appears to embrace the same low-bar industry standards. In summary, it's a cube farm where you'll spend most of your time working around bureaucratic red tape; fighting against status quo protectors; and wrong-fitting stagnant products for your clients.
