Interview
Finally called in for an interview after 3 months of applying to numerous locations. Interviewed with a store manager while the other interested store manager sat in. Questions followed the STARS format. After some time of no response/call back, I phoned the manager to check in. Was told that my interview went well, however they went with a current employee and just adjusted their hours.

Interview
I applied online and received a call the next day from a store manager. We set up an interview for that afternoon.
The interview was pretty laid back, and consisted of mostly STARS format questions. "Tell me about a time when... what was your reaction... what was the result... " As long as you have some experience dealing with customers, that part should be easy. I was asked if I had any questions, the he answered as well as he could and told me I would be a good fit. He sent me a background check form. They use Hireright for their background checks, which isn't great because they will inevitably have a problem verifying something and you'll have to fax them documentation. The background check took about 3 business days total to complete, which isn't bad. They verified every single employer, every school, and ran a criminal check. They found every single speeding ticket I've ever had (a lot) but that wasn't relevant to the job, so it didn't matter. But they are very thorough.
After passing the background check, a couple of weeks later I was told that they'd chosen somebody else because of my availability. The manager said he felt like I would be successful though, so he referred me to a few other local managers who had openings.
