Pros

Great culture, amazing people, work isn't "that" hard, but in order to be successful you need to put your best foot forward every day. Sales is not for everyone!

Cons

HUGE sales team but everything else is bottle necked. For a 150+ person sales team, the company should have at least 20 people per account. It's not that. Start up culture can be overwhelming.

Pros

Offered me a job when I needed one

Cons

You are expected to drink the koolaid and not question how/why things are the way they are. Partners are lied to, users are fleeced. There is no work life balance - it is a sweatshop with the clickiest management. The toxic culture flows all the way from the top. Think of a girly Uber. TO work here you must have no regards for ethics, or any critical thinking. If lying and shaking-up people for every dime is your thing.. then you are going to love it here. I've cried myself to sleep after 10 hour shifts dealing with the most irate (understandably so) users. Just look at Classpass social media comments - so many people getting scammed. I can't wait to leave this place.

Pros

I am not going to list any pros. As they are all smoke and mirrors. Employees get a free CP membership, snacks, cold brew, and booze in lieu of a fair wage.

Cons

It’s like working in the Twilight Zone or being on an episode or Black Mirror. Critical thinking is not encouraged, in fact it’s frowned upon. They would much rather you drink the ClassPass koolaide and pretend everything is fine than have their tactics questioned. Questioning any decision of any kind will result in punishment regardless if their policy is obviously unethical. ClassPass managers would rather blame their team members instead of taking accountability for their failures. If one of the team members isn’t performing well there is no acceptable reason for this performance, and no outside factors are taken into account. If the employee can’t get their numbers up s/he will be placed on a performance improvement plan. This plan, however, is not a plan to improve performance as it outlines that the employee hit the exact same metrics everyone else is expected to hit. Something that employee was probably doing to begin with. Then the employee is asked to take accountability for their actions. If the employee doesn’t get their numbers up, even if they do everything outlined in the PIP they are fired. I’m not sure how logical or ethical it is to ask devs to take accountability for low numbers and not ask the same of managers. Speaking of unethical, their sales tactics are horrendous. One must basically sell their soul to perform well there. ClassPass cares about the ends, not the means - get that sale at any cost - even if It means lying to prospective partners. For over a year partner dev folks were, mostly unknowingly, pitching people on rates they would never see, and while ClassPass has kind of tried to change the pitch to reflect the kind of payouts partners will really see, it hasn’t been enough. Now ClassPass is allowing their partner dev employees to offer cash incentives for signing up with ClassPass because they know they are a total scam, so instead of changing that they’ve opted for bribery. Avoid working here at all costs. It’s not worth your mental health. While it appears that ClassPass offers job security, it doesn’t. Instead, those in charge are looking to get even richer by selling the company to another company like Facebook or google, which means every job created in Missoula will be gone. Don’t get on the titantic. Just don’t.
