Pros

If you work at a place that accepts tips, the pay is actually really good for a first job. The work itself can get old but usually you work with people you can at least get along with. It is all dependent on store though. The manager in most cases influences how the work environment is.

Cons

If you get stuck at a place with a bad manager, you will hate your job. Dunkin Donuts locations are so small that you are always interacting with the manager. If they are not nice, friendly, tolerable of mistakes, you may have trouble working there. Some stores have really high turnover solely because of the manager. Also, there is not much room to be promoted. The highest level is store manager, which can be a decent job, but the pay isn't too great and the hours can be long and stressful for such a low pay.

Pros

customer interaction experience that looks good on resume some training

Cons

POORLY managed franchise owners, general and corporate managers who see their staff as disposable commodities POOR pay for the amount of work a challenge to get over 25 hours a week scheduled due to mismanagement, though once you have proven yourself an asset to the company they will over work you, offer you promises, in vain, of raises and advancement I worked for this company on and off for over 3 years and experienced the most drama of any work experience I have ever had. My last experience included an all out war with the store manager and a total of three managers (who were mainly inexperienced and thrown into a store in desperate need of restructuring because upper management allowed it to go to hell in a handbasket before they stepped in to pin the role of scapegoat on someone) in two months time.
