Good company to start at!

Pros

Excellent coworkers, very friendly space to work in. Have had at least 2 managers whom I consider mentors and can see myself turning back to even after I leave the company. Leadership has been insisting on becoming more nimble and able to adapt faster to customer and industry trends.

Cons

Negotiation of pay and other compensation is relatively inflexible, and good talent leaves because of lack of adequate compensation. There can be excessive red tape due to the size of the company, as well as a fear of changing and trying out new things by mid level management.

It's as good as you make it

Pros

Education support, Great teams, Great benefits. If you want it and are willing to work for it there are many opportunities here.

Cons

They are not going to hand it to you. You need to have your basics down before you reach for more responsibility. Many people are content to do the first part but not the work for the second. Yes, they will reimburse you for that work-related class you take outside of work -- but you have to take the class! Too many co-workers are content to sit and whine. It's sad because the issue is not that they are not talented, it's that they never stretch and show management they are hungry for more. I've seen people go from entry level to management through sheer determination. Changes come fast -- too fast to keep up with. Upper middle management is always getting juggled. It's to the point we mostly don't bother to learn their names unless they are directly above us -- because in 6 months it will be someone else.

Pros

PTO, flexible schedule. I don't have 20 words of nice things to say, but it is the minimum. Overall bad pay, not worth it. Go across the street.

Cons

Management, pay, hard to schedule time off fire to restrictions, the lack of respect from upper Management, they let good people go and keep the slackers.
