      Pros

      A fantastic work environment. Management seems genuinely interested in employee satisfaction. Extra Space genuinely strives to offer customers value for their money and a consistent brand image.

      Cons

      The company is growing fast, which puts increased demand on the employees to maintain high standards. Increased demand can lead to lower morale. Also, as the company grows, there is no guarantee that a very friendly corporate culture will be maintained.

      Pros

      I have been with the company less than a year. Everyone that I have met, from Assistant Store Managers to the CEO, has been excellent. There is a wonderful corporate culture and it is a great environment to work in. Integrity, partnership and hard work are key company values.

      Cons

      In my experience the compensation is somewhat below market. Wages for employees below VP level are not as competitive as other companies. The benefits package is only average, it was cheaper for me to go on my spouse's plan than use our company one.

      Pros

      I have worked for Extra Space for over 10 years. The work culture at this company is very slanted towards doing what is best for the employees. We have multiple recognition rewards and programs. I have witnessed store managers promoted up through the company to become Divisional Vice-presidents.

      Cons

      I would like to see the store manager pay be tied more closely to the revenue volume of the facility they manage. Off site manager pay does not compensate fully when compared to on site managers.
