Shallow company without any culture

Pros

Good salary considering the low cost of living in Fuzhou.

Cons

So much politics that it is impossible to have an impact whatsoever. Every decision about game development will eventually be taken by the CEO himself (in a publicly traded, 800+ people company, yes). You'll at first try to improve things then realize that this company hates change, and people are only concerned about keeping their jobs. About the location: the only reason IGG headquarters are in Fuzhou is because the CEO is from here, which means since this city is not attractive whatsoever (for both Chinese people and foreigners), the company is stuck with local people (which may or may not be the best at what they do). If you have the chance, just work from one of the other offices (Canada / US etc.), less politics and more qualified people.

Thank you for your feedback, and we would like to apologize for any poor management you have experienced at IGG. We will continue to improve and learn from our employees and the industry. We also understand that culture is created at its root. From the bottom up, all members of the IGG family must be dedicated and passionate about their work and IGG, this includes every branch of ours. As for the city you were working in, Fuzhou is currently becoming one of the main IT centers of China, which not only includes IGG, but also other companies such as OneMT and NetDragon.
