      Pros

      Good lifestyle balance, hours are not usually long. There many excellent analysts and smart, driven people working at IHS. Good place to learn the business for more junior staff.

      Cons

      Limited career paths and slow salary growth means many employees leave after 3-5 years. Company strategy is often short-sighted and focused on stock performance. Ongoing acquisition model for growth creates a lot of inefficiency and frustration during the integration process. Very bureaucratic company, with bloated management team.

      Kissing butt and backstabbing

      Good benefits, pension. Healthcare, flexability, wfh

      Cons

      Managers love a a yes man. You will go far if you can kiss butt and backstab your collegues. Dont tell them problems as they dont want to hear it, even suggesting solutions are not liked if it cost the tiniest bit of money. Managers and team leaders lack basic skills to manage and lead a team. There is a bully culture but it's ok because everyone does online training on procedures so they can ignore this. Favouritism to ihs staff employees, managers hire friends. IT service desk dodge anything complex and seem demotivated. Pay rise is minimal. General penny pinching. You cant learn anything new as the person teaching you worries they will lose their job. Individuals as well as teams can be made redundant at a moment's notice.

      Pros

      - As long as you come in when everyone else does and leave when everyone else does, you can coast for a VERY long time, if you need to. Leadership seems totally fine with that. - The cafeteria food is decent.

      Cons

      - The FP&A organization needs a serious overhaul right now. - Compensation is far below market rates. Bonuses are a joke. - Managers, especially in the CFO's organization, apparently have little to no vision, or are too afraid to speak up. It's safe to safe they are all technically incompetent. They motivate and inspire no one. Very few know what is really going on. It's probably the worst run organization I've ever seen in my career.
