Self esteem crasher

Pros

Company has a fantastic office, friendly team and occasionally you get a tease that there is a dream you can reach. I was fascinated how much training there is available for employees and the reason why is that INK wants to mold you exactly to their standards and nothing less. If you work 16 hours a day you can earn a lot.

Cons

Where to start.. Senior management are professional bullies that will crush your self esteem, your dreams and life. Unless you are willing to forget about your family, girlfriends/ boyfriends, private life, you are bot good enough for them. iNK is expecting you to work 16 hours daily + 2 weekends a month before magazine closing. I was once made feeling horrible because my family was visiting during closing weekend and I refused to come to work. I’ve never felt so paranoid, anxious and unappreciated! Travel.. haha! That was my dream and I am living it now working in a different company which is not even a travel media company. You will he given the chances to win trips but unless you are hungry and performing the best, it’s never going to happen. Ot takes you being one step behind being the best and you’re out... and believe me there are some legends there, kids that are money hungry and will walk all over you to get their dream. To summarise this all up- it is a BOILLER ROOM and unless that’s exactly what you want, don’t waste your time. All the training INK will give you is worth nothing once you close that door. I am saying this because now I can do my sales without pressure and I have become the best sales person in my company- INK told me that I was not good enough for sales!

Ink Response

Thank you for taking the time to write and post this review. We hear you and appreciate that your journey is a personal one, but we also understand and see that many of our colleagues do succeed in the 8.30am – 5.30pm hours. Those that work hard and focus, do get great results, that’s the nature of sales. We also agree that Ink’s unique culture is not for everyone and some sales people will blossom in a different environment. We wish you all the best for the future and hope that your new employer also gives you great training, exciting opportunities and is as supportive as we were with you.
