Pros

The scheduling is flexible. You can decide to hope on with 15 minutes notice and get a standby class. Easy to get standby students

Cons

- The pay is low for teaching standby, or "sudden" classes. - Little freedom to get into your zone and teach. There is little room for individual teaching style. They are VERY specific about how they want you to teach. There are what look like 'call center scripts' for teachers, and there is some kind of monitor who is watching your class remotely. They type messages to you during your class, critiquing you over little things while you are trying to teach. The messages can be numerous. The student notices when you are trying to read the class monitor's critiques. It looks unprofessional. It's like they are used to babying their teachers. Maybe this is the first job for many. No experience is required. That sounds nice. But whether you are experienced or not, they will treat you like a teenager. When considering the low pay and the critiquing while you are teaching, this company is slowing falling slipping into the "Is it really worth it?" category. Maybe if it's your first job and you need experience, but if you have experience, you will will quickly make the same observation.
