Pros

Free cable and internet, yearly raises with opportunities for two more raises as an agent, holiday overtime pay if you want it on top of guaranteed holiday pay, sometimes helping people solve problems via phone can be rewarding. Several weeks of paid training that can net you a quick couple thousand bucks while you hopefully find something better.

Cons

People seem to think they can treat the employees of their cable company/isp as absolute garbage and the company doesn’t treat the employees much better. The company is very much against working from home and sharing many concerns will be met with the response, “if you don’t like it here find another job.” You will be treated as a number, a replaceable resource to be exploited. Things can change at the drop of a hat. The calls and situations you’re handling will change often.

Pro is I'm blessed to have a job.

Cons

Upper level management doesn't care about the well being of their employees. The pay does not match the industry pay.

Pros

WFH policy for contractors Employment Stability that comes from working for a Fortune100 company. Work experience integrating legacy telecom technology and mindset into modern frameworks.

Cons

Product management at Spectrum Enterprise is not a client facing role. The company is a service company; not a product company. Product management serves and represents the business not the client and more closely resembles a cross of project management and product operations roles with a key focus on output over outcomes. At the end of the day, the job is to take the requirements from the business and deliver them to design and the product owner. Little to no autonomy in the decision making. Decisions are at best by consensus and more likely to be made by a business member quite removed from the client/problem/solution space. This is not your SVPG style of product management.
