Pros

Great people within the team. Made some good friends! Good location.

Cons

Upper management are arrogant and they will hire external "yes-men" instead of promoting qualified, proven, dedicated employees from within. Wages are a joke. Executives seemed immature - could often be heard yelling and swearing in meetings. They liked to think they were a "hip, young" company but if you wanted snacks and drinks, you had to use vending machines. The only charitable initiatives they're involved with are the shady Autism Speaks and the self-congratulatory Sharing and Caring event. Extreme lack of morale due to being overworked. Working for a toy company was no fun. A few years back a man in the office dressed as a famous abuser of women for Halloween. Only in a company with a culture that values women so little would someone find that to be an appropriate costume.

Pros

Fun product made it enjoyable to sell and merchandise. Great co-workers and the flexibility to create your own schedule for the day with great hours of 9-5. All reporting was done electronically which made things easier.

Cons

Manager had no idea how to manage a team and had no idea or concept of merchandising. The 2012 Christmas coupon project had unrealistic deadlines and was very badly managed right from the start. We were treated like robots and expected to be available for work 7 days a week, and to work beyond the 9-5 hours and not get paid for it. I was glad when I was chosen to be part of the mass layoffs in the department because we could no longer be productive with the direction the manager was taking it. Everything was done last minute and always resulted in us missing opportunities because of bad planning. Never any consistency we were always reacting but were always to late costing the company a lot of money in potential sales. Supervisors were forced to buy in to the managers system even though they didn't agree with it. This department really was like a bad STORM with lots of damage done! Cleanup will take a very long time!

Amazing people, horrible upper management

Pros

Such a great group of people here, and a lot of managers who really care about their team members. Lots of fun activities and perks. Flexibility when it comes to taking days off etc.

Cons

I believe most people are paid far below industry standard, and it seems that they don't want to invest in people who are good at their jobs financially. Most of the money seems to get spent in ridiculous ways for upper management. Company is also known for having MAJOR HR PROBLEMS.... paying wrong amount salary, not filing forms properly and losing important information, adjusting pay/bonus numbers without notice or authorization. If you work here be sure to save everything and check all numbers.
