Pros

- Quick advancement for those that are willing to slave - Satisfaction of working on one of the most iconic Canadian brands

Cons

- TERRIBLE work life balance. Leaving before 7pm is considered too early - People are promoted based on numeric results, which leads to Managers who don't actually know how to manage people - Ruthless to employees, customers, vendors, franchisees. There is no relationship-based operations, it's simply down to numbers and the bottom line - You have NO perks. You won't be given a single thing - no pens, pencils or notebooks. Even at a "Lunch & Learn" with the President, you're required to bring your own lunch.... - Pay/benefits is very low. Bonus % is very high (30%) but if you don't hit your KPIs (or MBOs) for whatever reason, your base is a joke.

Pros

Even with no experience, they are always looking for new hands and hires to serve coffee and food. Almost anybody can get in. They also provided transportation, which is a good thing!

Cons

They pay less than a living wage and the work pace can be hectic. The culture within the food service tends to be autocratic based on seniority-and many tend to abuse their authority.
