Life changing

Pros

The company is genuinely trying to make a difference in the world. It is lead by true visionaries who deeply care. There are many different kinds of people on the executive team. The business is positioned to change the way people work and also the way they live in general. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are self-motivated, there is no ceiling on how high you can go. There is a different feeling at WeWork then any other company I've experienced and being there you really feel you are part of a movement.

Cons

There is disorganization at times and lack of clarity in the corporate chart. The company is growing so quickly it sometimes feels a bit chaotic. Aside from that, I really don't understand some of the negative posts I've seen on this site about it at all.

Pros

When you first start out, things seem really fun - happy hours, community events, supporting entrepreneurs and other community members. Free beer at work. Colleagues are usually nice and friendly when they're not being passive aggressive. Most of the members appreciate the community managers.

Cons

Passive aggressive colleagues, competitive culture instead of a collaborative one. Things behind the scenes are so disorganized, and employees don't feel empowered to change anything that needs fixing - very bureaucratic. The CEO is full of himself and is all talk - seems like the money has gotten to his head. There's a facade of community-building but it's all about filling up the space with people who have bought into the idea that they're going to be hip and cool because they can show off their office to their friends and family. I've heard and seen employees talk about the members behind their backs, and complain about the "customer service" side of things. Hello? That's our job - to help members do what they love.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST

Pros

Constant, forced social interaction with small business owners might lead to another job and I could gtfo of here.

Cons

Upper-management is completely incompetent and simply trying to hang on until the company IPOs. Career-paths are strongly linked to choice of religious beliefs. We sell people on spaces filled with Urban Outfitters discount bin decorations, and the empty promise of WeWork's favorite marketing gimic: "community." No matter how hard you work or how well the company does you'll never see more money, or even a thank you. Haven't gained a single marketable job skill. Obvious and pathetic that they've resorted to posting fake reviews here instead of fixing anything, though it perfectly sums up the entire "operation."
