Pros

Big BP company is a great place to work. Developments and benefits are competitive. Opportunity for growth is great. The people are great to work with and highly technical.

Cons

No cons for the big BP. However for BP L48 (spin off version of BP) is not very good. They brought the mafia from Sandridge with guys that had only a few years of experience taking on management positions that have no idea what they are doing with no technical background. Their only justify their decisions based on what the boss like. This is no difference from hiring a high schooler to run the place.

Pros

Good work culture, work/life balance and career prospects generally in BP. People across the company are committed, work well together and management are supportive of employees, as well as company objectives. Deserving of it's 'best place to work' in almost all business areas.

Cons

The review ratings are based on Learning Ops. Learning Ops falls short of the above statements. The environment is intimidating, management un-supportive of and not listening to team opinions or suggestions. Flexibility is low, virtually non existent - goes against the rest of the BP culture.

Pros

Broad opportunities for progression and development are available across the firm. The calibre of people working around you is high. The general view of working at BP amongst myself and my colleagues is positive.

Cons

There is a hugely political blame culture and support for staff is rarely made available. I have personally watched very capable colleagues talked down to, to their faces or behind their backs. Flexible working is available to the chosen few, but unavailable to everyone else.
