I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medium
Interview
Began with basic recruiter calls, was sent an easy take home test that consisted of two questions. The first question was just simple data manipulation, the second one expanded on the first solution and included an edit history of the data provided. I ended up not getting an offer as I did very poorly with the on site interview.

Question 1
How would you keep track of edits for an article provided to you as strictly stricter JSON
I applied online. I interviewed at Medium in Jul 2018
Interview
I had a phone call with a recruiter. Throughout the call, the recruiter kept emphasizing how impressed he was with my background, and mentioned my experience with machine learning. I have no machine learning experience, so I was confused. Then he asked "So, how long have you been at Google?"
I have never worked at Google; the recruiter had very obviously confused me with someone else. We had a brief, awkward conversation after I corrected him and I didn't hear back from them after the call.
I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Medium (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Honestly one of the most disorganized interview processes I've encountered during my several decades of experience in this industry. The recruiter actually texted me in the middle of my first interview to ask where I was. They need to staff up quickly, so I suppose some level of disorganization may be understandable. After my first round I didn't hear a thing from them for about three weeks. After my "final" round they said they would be in touch soon...it's been four weeks now, and I haven't heard a thing. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion.
