Not a good place to work

Pros

Very macro-managed team, you have the ability to target your territory as you see fit. Lots of diversity, Great people to work with.

Cons

-The team is spread so thin, that getting any help or assistance is impossible. If you have any IT issues or need IT help when selling a solution, there is no one to talk too as Atento has laid off all of their IT staff. -Manager is so busy that he is quadruple booked, so he rarely joins your calls or answers any questions that you have. If you need training, good luck getting that. He has unrealistic expectations, bad guidelines, and won't join syncs before customer calls or customer call preps. -When working on RFP's, you are the only person who will work on it. It's hard to get help for answers as no one knows who manages what, and if you find the right person they don't speak English well. We have an RFP response team, but they don't speak business English and will copy and paste answers from other RFP's that are not formatted correctly. So you have to work on the RFP's all by yourself, and you will definitely work nights and weekends for these RFP's. -Pricing exercises are nightmares. The standard turnaround time in the BPO space is 2 weeks, but good luck getting rates back from the pricing team in 4 weeks. Because of the severe delay, it's brutal trying to get quotes to customers and I lost many deals because of this. -BDR team is a joke.BDR's are not trained on sales, so they are unprofressional or simply don't do their jobs. I know that some BDR's run their own deals so that if they get promoted, they can close the deal and win the comission for themselves. One BDR got promoted, and within 1 week closed a $20 million dollar deal. When asked how he won it, he said they "came to him the week before and wanted to sign." A $20 million dollar deal in 1 week? Come on. -Management has made horrible business decisions. Everyone is moving out of the US and outsourcing nearshore of offshore. What do we do? We buy buildings in Linden UT and Miramar FL! Now our prices are extremely high, we are paying for the properties, and we constantly try to push customers there and lose deals due to the exorbitant prices. -Finally, Atento is starting to lay off massive amount of employees without severance. This typically means that a company is not liquid(I know Atento is having serious cash issues) and that they are scrambling to be acquired. Because of all the liquidity issues, our banks that we have loans with have started contacting our customers, which is such a bad look. When Atento is acquired, maybe things would turn around, but for now it is every man and woman for themselves. Be very careful working here!
