      Pros

      The company culture is to collaborate (ideas, problem-solving, innovating), while much of the work is independent or as a duo on site. Our days are filled with attending to the needs of potential and current tenants and taking care of the property. Both fulfill our commitment to customer service. We get to exercise a wide variety of skills, making each day a little different from the last. Extra Space develops these skills through a nicely structured training program, and supports the learning through a system of district trainers to help you out.

      Frustration over aspects of managing a property that are outside of your control.

      Great company to grow with, there are always opportunities to grow. The company has grown across many states so your desire is limitless.

      Cons

      You are forced to be independent, however it challenges you to be a strong worker. It teaches you about leadership, its a really big company that has a strong family culture and your never alone when you need help.

      The best part about working for Extra Space Storage that I haven't experienced anywhere else is the amount of support I've received from upper management. They value their employees and want them to succeed. If you don't have the tools you need to succeed right from the start, make a case for it. They are happy to listen and work with you to get you where you need to be so you can perform your duties effectively and efficiently. I'd recommend working here to anyone who feels like they aren't getting that support at his/her current place of work. This is a collaborative, team environment where everyone is working together for the betterment of the company.

      Benefits are good but could be better.
