Pros

I've been working with Ink for two years or so on the American Airlines titles and have been very impressed with the level of talent on both the edit and art teams. We were all new to the job 2.5 years ago, and have come together nicely as a team. Another major bonus of the job is working on an international publication without having to live in NYC or L.A. Love both those towns, but quality of life in Miami is tough to beat. I'm also proud of the product, and like to think we've elevated inflight magazines.

Cons

As with every magazine I've ever worked for, sales and edit are different worlds. That's to be expected, frankly. It's something every editor has to navigate. The company is growing quickly, so sometimes that leads to staffing challenges. But those can also be opportunities if you take advantage of the moment.

Pros

Good place to learn about sales and about yourself. It 's mixed feeling about this company. Base salary is good. The people are fun .

Cons

They try to make the "culture" a great place to work by having breakfast and other incentives but if sales goals are not going as planned it is like being in school where you are scolded by your superiors. "Do your job" they say. There is a very loyal and hard working team in Miami.. Micromanaging and gossip gets out of hand.

Pros

We had an amazing training, support system and you will really get rewarded for your hard work! It's sales. Whatever you put in in terms of energy, performance and commitment, you will get rewarded in terms of commissions. You get to shape your lifestyle based on your hard work. You get to write your own paycheck.

Cons

You are trained to become super competitive but that is actually a major plus in sales anyway.
