Pros

Since there a lot of bitter employee reviews and a lot of fake reviews on behalf of the company, let me set the record straight and be as objective a possible. 1. Great first job.. you will learn a lot of valuable skills and gain impressive experience for your resume 2. The management will invest in its employees to an extent with coaching and mentorship 3. When management is in a good mood culture is fun and easy going, they have company parties about once a quarter which is nice

Cons

1. Poor management: Instead of recognizing employees based on merit. Management plays favorites with those who stroke upper managements ego, especially that of the C-level execs. This happens to an unhealthy extent and causes distrust in management. 2. Upper managements leadership strategy is motivation through chastising sales people. This strategy is recognized by the management, not just saying that. 3. Culture thrives on drama 4. The sales floor can sound like a guys locker room more than professional work environment. Which is fine, but there needs to be some sort of standard.

Pros

There are actually some good people who work at Ink and I have made some really good friends during my time here. I have also had the opportunity to travel, although with the loss of titles I cant see how any newbies will experience the same.

Cons

The management at Ink are absolutely horrific!! They have no skill sets or attributes that make a good manager, with most there simply due to brown nosing. They are fixated with KPIs, which change with the direction of the wind, and fail to inspire or motivate any staff member. But the worst part of Ink is the commission structure which will change as and when you start to make any money. The targets and the comm percentages will change when they want them to, ensuring that you will only ever really make a few quid above your basic. This is such a shame as when I joined Ink the comms were fab and we all made a lot of money. Believe me I was a top performer at Ink so if i couldn't make make a decent amount I don't see how a newbie can!!!

We have worked in the media for more than 20 years and people have come and gone whilst the business has undoubtedly changed and evolved. We have the ongoing challenge to always thrive and succeed in this fast moving sector and we know and acknowledge that the recruitment of the right people is the key to our success. Most reviews here appear to be pointed towards the Ad sales side of the business in London, and in response to the comments raised please know: 1. We have new trainers to give everyone the opportunity to succeed 2. We have a new management systems in place 3. We have restructured the teams on the sales floor 4. We have new sales software to help teams convert business 5. For years, we have had a constant and transparent commission structure 6. Our company is growing year on year as is our media

Pros

Good base salary with a lot of potential to grow if you can make yourself put up with the horrible work environment.

Cons

I saw all of the negative reviews on Glassdoor before I took this job and didn't think much of it because usually people only post when they've had a bad experience... but STEER CLEAR! I've never been surrounded by such downgrading, micromanaging, rude people in my life. Some supervisors here are from a different country and they just don't understand American culture and how you treat people. Hell may be better than working at Ink. I wouldn't refer this job to my worst enemy.

Thank you for your feedback. May I say that Ink prides itself by providing an inspiring environment where every employee has an equal chance for growth, learning and development. I’m sorry you didn’t feel positively about the work environment. We agree, most people post negative reviews on the Glassdoor, but we really do appreciate the feedback as it allows us to tackle any problem. Ink is a multicultural company but we appreciate and respect that each country has different styles. We therefore aim to follow that countries best practices, but we also pride ourselves in learning and transferring different successful skills and experiences. Managers serve to motivate and guide people, not to micromanage them. We can assure you that micromanaging is not encouraged as part of our culture. We do however monitor sales and KPI’s – as how else are we going to reward good performance?!
