We appreciate you sharing your views and your positive outlook. We want everyone to know we offer a great work environment that supports employees’ work life balance with, as you mentioned, great benefits, fair schedules, support for health and wellness, and generous vacation time. We’re grateful for the terrific people who work here, and the work that they do, and we’re proud to support their careers. Sorry to hear you experienced stress around job security, and that you felt your talents weren’t recognized. We do offer professional development and tuition support in a range of areas as there are many types of roles and talents required for the success of a large, national company like Economical. In addition, as part of the annual performance review cycle, leaders have development conversations with their employees. We are sorry to hear this this was not your experience. Thank you for your feedback and we wish you the best in your career.

Thank you for recommending Economical and sharing your thoughts on the company. As we work toward becoming the first national mutual P&C insurer to become a public company, we’ve made lots of updates to make sure we’re ready for the pace and requirements of being a publicly traded company. This means lots of new opportunities for employees, but also the uncertainty that can come from having to adapt to new systems and processes. We do provide comprehensive training and make a thorough effort to share our business strategies, plans, and outcomes with employees on a regular basis through internal communication and company-wide symposiums. You are also encouraged to reach out to your team leader, manager, or senior leaders with questions at any time. Thanks again for your feedback and stay tuned for more updates!

Pros

Great concept, talented staff hired.

Cons

Hired a full staff, postponed launch 90 days, closed the company roughly 60 days after public launch. Speaks for itself.
