Pros

It was a secure and honest place to workl. The pay was good. Were not treated like a number. People are nice.

Cons

There was some favoritism. It seemed like the ones that talk the loudest got promotions. Sometimes it was hard to see why someone got promoted over others. A lot of politics.

This is a good place to work with good benefits. Coworkers are pleasant and friendly. A good place to work if you do not want to be on the cutting edge of technology.

Cons

Salary could be better, Improved communication from the top down would help as well, Parking is a pain if you have to be offsite.

Good benefits That's it. The Extended Health and Dental plan is VERY good.

Cons

People are generally nice in other branches, but in Ottawa? Forget it! If battle is your game, then Ottawa branch is where you'll do the best in honing your battle skills. People at this branch are petty and afraid of anyone who is there to enjoy their job because they love what they do. You'll be picked on, targeted and pushed to the point of tears. Team leads have their favourite employees and give them all sorts of power they shouldn't have as non-decision makers. One can only take so much before they up and quit and go work for Intact which is full of ex-Economical Ottawa branch employees. Don't ask to take your full vacation entitlement. Don't take more than 3 sick days a year. They tout a great benefits package in that respect, but discourage use of it. As for salary increases, they're TINY. It took 12 years to make a livable wage.
